Privacy Policy

Last updated September 29, 2026

This explains what WatchMe collects, why, and what control you have over it. We keep this to what's actually true of how the Service works today, not boilerplate about things it doesn't do.

What we collect

What we don't do

Analytics and ad-measurement cookies (optional)

If WatchMe turns on Google Analytics 4 or the Meta Pixel, you'll be asked first, and neither loads unless you tap "Allow". If you allow them, Google and Meta set their own cookies and receive standard page-visit information (such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your connection), plus whether you signed up or started a membership, so we can see which ads and posts work. We never send them your name, email, username, gender, verification results, messages, contacts, or call content. Google Analytics runs with ad personalization and Google signals turned off. You can change your choice at any time: . Where a law treats this as "sharing" for targeted advertising, choosing "No thanks" (or never choosing "Allow") is your opt-out.

Who we share data with

Stripe processes identity verification and membership payments under its own privacy practices. A referral payout service you select (Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle) receives the destination information and amount needed to send your requested payout under that service's own privacy practices. If you allowed analytics and ad-measurement cookies, Google and Meta receive the limited information described above. If you file a report, WatchMe may retain the description and any valid captured evidence for the owner, who is the sole moderator. Report evidence is not attached to alert emails or forwarded to a moderation vendor. We may also preserve or disclose information where required by law, including applicable child-safety reporting duties.

Retention and account deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from your profile — this removes your messages, ratings, hearts, blocks, friend requests, group memberships, blocked phone contacts, custom background, profile avatar, and profile music. Referral eligibility, earnings, and payout records may be retained for financial, fraud-prevention, tax, and legal obligations. Reports you filed or were named in are kept but de-identified (your account reference is removed from them) rather than deleted, so we can keep a record for safety and legal purposes without keeping data tied back to your deleted account. Precise location used for matching is not retained on your account in the first place.

Your choices

Privacy rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights over your personal information. Where applicable, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of personal data associated with you; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; or appeal/complain to the appropriate privacy authority. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request, and some information may be retained where law or a legitimate safety/legal obligation requires it.

WatchMe does not sell personal information. The only possible "sharing" for advertising measurement is the optional Google/Meta cookies described above, which never load unless you tap "Allow" and can be turned off at any time. To exercise an applicable privacy right or ask a privacy question, email watchme.buzzu@gmail.com.

Children

We don't knowingly collect data from minors, and matching/video access is gated on ID verification.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and provide any notice required by law. Continued use of the Service after an effective change means you accept the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
