Terms of Service

Last updated September 29, 2026

These Terms govern your use of WatchMe, a live video-chat service operated at watchme.buzz (the "Service," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who can use WatchMe

You must pass verification to create an account or use a guest pass. We verify identity through a third-party provider (Stripe Identity) before any account or guest can use matching or video features — see our Privacy Policy for how that works. Creating an account under a false identity, or on behalf of someone else, violates these Terms and may result in restriction or termination.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Use a real, accurate gender identification when prompted. Misrepresenting it to gain access to a matching category you don't belong in ("catfishing") is a qualifying report category and can lead to the doghouse restriction; serious or repeated violations may also lead to suspension or termination.

3. Acceptable use

When using WatchMe you agree not to:

A block can be removed only by the member who made it. The blocked account cannot remove, override, or ask WatchMe to lift another member's block.

4. Reporting, Ribbons, restrictions, and severe safety cases

“It's a guy” (identity or gender misrepresentation) is the qualifying report category. A single reporter cannot repeatedly create duplicate automatic strikes against the same account for the same qualifying category.

A Ribbon is not a badge for being reported. An account receives a Ribbon when it leaves the doghouse. The first Ribbon lasts 1 day, or it may be removed early for $1. Each later Ribbon (each new offense) doubles both the length and the early-removal price: 2 days or $2, then 4 days or $4, then 8 days or $8, and so on. A Ribbon is separate from a permanent confirmed-catfishing marker that may be used after confirmation.

Three qualifying report strikes automatically place an account in a restricted state called the doghouse. A “Minor Activity” report immediately blocks that pair from being matched with each other again and alerts WatchMe's owner, who is the sole moderator; it does not, by itself, apply a Ribbon or remove the reported account from matching with other people. An “Other” report is recorded with its description and has no automatic Ribbon or doghouse effect. Reports and any valid captured evidence are retained for WatchMe's owner, the sole moderator. Evidence is not attached to alert emails or forwarded to a moderation vendor.

A restricted account can pay to lift the doghouse restriction. The first paid lift is $1, the second is $2, the third is $3, and each later paid lift increases by another $1. Paying a Ribbon early-clear fee or doghouse restriction-lift fee does not erase report records or prevent later safety action.

We may immediately suspend or terminate access in severe cases, including credible threats, child sexual abuse material or exploitation, or violence. Where law requires preservation or reporting — including applicable child-safety reporting duties — we may preserve information and report it to the appropriate authorities.

5. Subscriptions, guest passes, fees, and refunds

Price list: membership is $2 to start, then $1/month; a one-time guest pass is $2 for up to 6 hours; a custom background is a one-time $1 unlock. Details for each follow.

Membership starts with a $2 payment: $1 for verification enrollment and $1 for the first membership month. There is no free trial. Membership then renews at $1 per month until canceled. Cancellation is available from your profile 24 hours after account creation and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

A one-time guest pass costs a flat $2 and currently provides up to 6 hours of guest access after payment, subject to the same age/identity verification requirement before matching or video access. Guest passes do not create a recurring membership.

Doghouse restriction-lift fees and optional Ribbon early-removal fees follow the schedules in Section 4. Ribbons are applied automatically when an account leaves the doghouse.

The optional custom background is a one-time $1 unlock. It stays on your account for as long as the account exists, and you can replace or remove your picture any time. Your background is visible to everyone on your calls, so it must follow these Terms and the Guidelines like anything else you show on camera.

Profile avatar and profile-music uploads are optional and currently free. You must own or have permission to use anything you upload. Profile media is visible to accepted Friends. Links to Perchance and Musicful are provided only as external creation tools; WatchMe does not operate, endorse, or control those services or their plans, outputs, availability, or licenses. You are responsible for checking the applicable third-party terms and securing any rights needed before uploading generated media to WatchMe.

Referral cash earnings. Each member has a referral link. You earn $1 for each genuinely new member who signs up with your link and then pays for a second month of membership. There is no referral cap. Once your available referral balance reaches $12, you may request a cash payout of the full available balance to Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. Payout requests remain pending until WatchMe actually sends the money and may require identity, tax, destination, or fraud checks where applicable. Processing time depends on review and the selected payment service. Only genuinely new people count: no earnings accrue for someone who has had a WatchMe account before (including a deleted account), your own additional accounts, or test or guest accounts. WatchMe checks eligibility using one-way fingerprints of email, verified ID details, and payment card. WatchMe may withhold, reject, or reverse earnings obtained through fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or mistaken qualification. Any customer-bill referral credits issued before this cash program are historical bill credits and cannot also be withdrawn as cash.

Except where a refund is required by law, all sales are final and payments are non-refundable. This includes membership charges, guest-pass purchases, Ribbon early-clear purchases, custom-background unlocks, and doghouse restriction-lift fees. All payments are processed by Stripe — WatchMe never receives or stores your full card details.

6. Content and conduct during calls

Video and audio during 1:1 and group calls are relayed in real time and are not recorded or stored by WatchMe by default. WatchMe's in-app screen-capture or recording flow requires the other participant's explicit consent for each occurrence. WatchMe cannot prevent capture using operating-system features, external devices, or other methods outside that flow. Capturing or redistributing another person's call content without their consent violates these Terms independent of any report.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, safety risks, fraud, abuse of payment or verification systems, or where required by law. Not every report results in human review, and an automated Ribbon or restriction is not a promise that a human has reviewed the underlying allegation.

8. Disclaimers

WatchMe connects you with other users but does not run background checks beyond the verification services described here and cannot guarantee any user's behavior, intentions, truthfulness, or compliance with the rules. Verification reduces anonymity but is not a guarantee of safety or good conduct. You use the Service, and interact with anyone you meet through it, at your own risk. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent allowed by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WatchMe and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service or your interactions with other users. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

10. Governing law and informal dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by applicable United States law and, where state law applies, the law of the state in which WatchMe's operator is legally established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting a formal dispute, you agree to contact us at watchme.buzzu@gmail.com with a description of the issue and allow 30 days for an informal attempt to resolve it. This requirement does not prevent either side from seeking urgent relief when legally necessary.

11. Individual arbitration and class-action waiver

To the extent permitted by applicable law, a dispute that cannot be resolved informally and is not eligible for small-claims court will be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than a jury trial. Claims must be brought individually and not as a class, collective, or representative action, except where applicable law does not permit that waiver. You may opt out of this arbitration provision by emailing watchme.buzzu@gmail.com within 30 days after first accepting these Terms and stating that you are opting out of arbitration. Rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will update the date above and provide any notice required by law. Continued use of the Service after an effective change means you accept the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms, billing, or the Service can be sent to watchme.buzzu@gmail.com.
