Live video chat in San Francisco
Everyone's welcome here: every body, every ability, every vibe
Last updated October 2, 2026
Fog rolling over Twin Peaks, a burrito in the Mission, golden hour on the Dolores Park slope โ and you're in the mood to meet someone new? WatchMe is live 1:1 and small-group video chat you can open from anywhere in the 415, whether you're in SoMa, the Castro, the Sunset, the Richmond, the Marina, North Beach, or Hayes Valley โ and from anywhere else around the Bay Area, too. Tap Randomizer to meet someone new, and skip whenever you want the next person.
What you can do
- Randomizer + skip: one tap pairs you with someone new; skip to move on.
- Group rooms of up to 5, including an all-women room โ like a Dolores Park hang, minus the hunt for a patch of grass.
- Call tab: ring your friends directly, from the Castro to North Beach.
- Block by phone number: add numbers you never want to match with โ your coworker from the SoMa office included.
- Custom backgrounds: put your own picture behind you on video, Golden Gate Bridge or otherwise.
WatchMe does not guarantee how anyone behaves, so the controls below stay with you on every call.
Controls you keep during every call
- Block and report are available in the call. Blocking is immediate, and only the person who made a block can undo it โ the blocked person can never remove it.
- Account-level consequences: three qualifying report strikes automatically place an account in the doghouse restriction described in the community guidelines. Reports may also be retained for moderation review; that is not a promise that a human reviews every report.
- Capture consent: WatchMe's own in-app screenshot or recording flow asks for your explicit consent each time. WatchMe cannot prevent someone from using operating-system features, another device, or other external methods to capture a call.
- Location: your device location is used only while you are actively searching, so the search pool can be sorted nearest-first. It is not saved to your account, and other people see only a relative distance, never your coordinates.
What it costs
Membership is $2 to start, then $1/month. A guest pass is $2 for 6 hours, and custom backgrounds are a one-time $1.
